Modoc  come from behind to beat the Cardinals, or did they?

 

      Cardinals scored three runs in the first inning, but Modoc 35+ still managed to pull out the victory. Cardinals scored its runs on a single by Phil Bosco.

    Modoc 35+ got things moving in the first inning, when Matt Garrabrants doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

    In the bottom of the first inning, Cardinals tied things up at two when Phil Bosco singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

    Steve Hahn was on the pitcher's mound for Modoc 35+. He went four innings, allowing three runs on seven hits.

    Brian Underhill was on the mound for Cardinals. He went six innings, allowing nine runs on 12 hits and striking out ten.

    Modoc 35+ collected 12 hits on the day. James Gardner, Chris Nelson, and Chris Cec each racked up multiple hits for Modoc 35+. Gardner went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Modoc 35+ in hits.

    Cardinals tallied 11 hits on the day. Dustin Harrison, Kevin Fought, and Joe Angelo each had multiple hits for Cardinals. Harrison led Cardinals with three hits in three at bats. Cardinals didn't commit a single error in the field. Mark Tierney had the most chances in the field with ten.

 

In the bottom of the 6 with the Modoc up on the Cardinals after putting up 7 runs to come from behind the lights went out  with 1 out to go. Per league rules the game reverts back to the previous inning  for regular season play. In this case the Cardinals where up 3-2 so the victory goes to them.
