Modoc  Claims Lead in Fifth Inning to Defeat Dodgers

 

Modoc  took the lead late and defeated Dodgers 4-2 on Thursday. With two outs in the top of the fifth an error scored one run for Modoc .

 

Modoc  opened up scoring in the first inning, when Trent Freekner doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

 

In the top of the third inning, Modoc tied things up at two. Jerry Anderson drove in one when he singled.

 

Zack Parker led the Modoc  to victory on the mound. He lasted four innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out four. Anderson threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Anderson recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Modoc 35+.

 

Joe Venker took the loss for Dodgers. He went seven innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and striking out one.

 

Steve Hahn started the game for Modoc 35+. He went two innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out four and walking zero

Modoc  racked up eight hits in the game.

 

 Eddie Paschal, Anderson, and James Gardner all managed multiple hits for Modoc 35+. Gardner, Anderson, and Paschal each collected two hits to lead Modoc .
